What an extraordinary year! The Edible Flower remains in wait. We’re waiting for supper clubs, and feasting, and long tables groaning with beautiful dishes and surrounded by happy people.

This Christmas you might not be able to come to an event at The Edible Flower, but hopefully you can take The Edible Flower home with you! We’ve put all our favourite festive treats into a box – all the spice, the dried fruit, the chocolate, the nuts, the maple and the flowers!

Packed full of gorgeous homemade treats our hampers are a celebration of some of our absolute favourite festive recipes. Many are recipes we have been cooking for years for supper clubs, parties and for our nearest and dearest, as well a few new treats too.

The contents: A barm brack fruit loaf, a jar of jam, festive biscotti, a jar of chutney, edible flower ginger biscuits, fig & pecan florentines, cinnamon & maple granola and cheese biscuits – All the contents are made by us from scratch, using our favourite recipes and using the best ingredients we can find. So what’s inside The Edible Flower’s Xmas Hamper? Here’s the run down:

1 x Barm Brack Fruit Loaf
Essentially a Christmas cake in loaf form, this tea loaf is packed full of dried fruit and a little candied peel & whiskey for extra festiveness. We first developed this recipe for a client who loved to have fruit loaf alongside a cheeseboard, and we must admit a slice of this loaf with a wedge of a stilton-style cheese or a mature cheddar is a match made in heaven. Toasted with butter, is also hard to beat.
Vegetarian. Contains Egg, Gluten (wheat). Lasts at least two weeks well wrapped.

1 x jar of Homemade Jam (200g)
Either Pear, Ginger & Rosemary, Gooseberry & Elderflower or Blackcurrant. This has been a year of jam making – all of our edible flower cakes are filled with homemade jam – so Erin has been tweaking and perfecting her recipes. These jams are all delicious, but if you have a preference for your hamper, just let us know when you book.
Vegan. No allergens. This will last at least 6 months unopened. Once opened, store in the fridge.

1 x packet of Festive Biscotti with Cranberry, White Chocolate & Pistachio (minimum 10 biscuits).
Erin has been making these crunchy spiced biscuits studded with delicious nuts, fruit and white chocolate every Christmas for years. Perfect for serving alongside coffee for elevenses or with a glass of Vin Santo after dinner. If you’d rather make your own (we know not everyone can afford a fancy hamper) find our recipe here.
Vegetarian. Contains Egg, Gluten (wheat), Nuts (Almonds & Pistachios). Once you open the bag, store in an airtight container – they will last at least a month – probably much longer.

1 x jar of Spiced Apple Chutney (220g)
A winter classic, we’ve been making it since our first Winter Solstice Supper Club back in 2016 when we served it alongside Young Buck cheese and malted milk cow-shaped biscuits for our ‘Eight Maids-a-Milking’ course. This chutney is delicious with cheese but because of the Indian spices is equally at home alongside a curry or samosa for a local alternative to mango chutney.
Vegan. Contains Mustard, Sulphites. This will last at least 6 months unopened. Once opened store in the fridge.

6 x Edible Flower Gingerbread Biscuits.
Capturing a wee bit of The Edible Flower garden in biscuit form. Each gingerbread biscuit is topped with delicate edible flowers and leaves. We first tested these gingerbread biscuits for a client who wanted wallaby-shaped biscuits for an event and we fell in love with the fabulous flavour and crisp texture. These aren’t shaped like a marsupial, but they are (hopefully) more beautiful.
Vegetarian. Contains Egg, Gluten (wheat), Milk. Once you open the bag store in an airtight container, they will last at least a 10 days.

4 x Florentines with Fig, Pecan & Sesame Seeds.
Inspired by week 3 of this year’s Great British Bake Off we were determined to make our ideal Florentine – surely the epitome of decadent festive biscuits. Unctuous fig, savoury sesame, buttery pecan and sour cherries with 70% dark chocolate is the winning combination.
Vegetarian. Contains Gluten (wheat), Milk, Nuts (Almonds & Pecans), Sesame, Soya. Once you open the bag store in an airtight container, they will last at least 7 days (but to be honest, there is no chance of this ever happening!).

Breakfast to go alongside this morning’s Finance meeting1 x bag of our Homemade Granola with Cinnamon & Maple (200g).
If you have stayed in our AirBnB you will have been treated to this granola. It’s perfect with yoghurt and fruit for breakfast but it’s so moreish you might just end up eating it straight out of the bag like a sort of luxurious trail mix.
Vegetarian. Contains Gluten (Oats), Nuts (Almonds, Pecans & Hazelnuts), Sesame. Once you open the bag store in an airtight container, it will last at least a month – probably much longer.

1 x packet of Biscuits for Cheese with Nigella Seeds & Dried Edible Flowers (minimum 8 biscuits).
To be honest these crackers are good enough to eat on their own. Erin adapted this recipe from one she learnt at Ballymaloe Cookery School and we always serve them whenever we do cheeseboards. Each pack will contain a mix, some studded with nigella seed and some with our homemade dried edible flower petal mix.
Vegetarian, Contains Gluten (Wheat), Milk. Once you open the bag store in an airtight container, they will last at least a month.
