A Taste of Asia @ Open House Festival Bangor – Friday 25 or Saturday 26 August

**Both nights are now SOLD OUT – Sorry!**

We are delighted to have been invited by the curators of Open House Festival Bangor to cook this seven-course Asian street food feast in the beautiful surroundings of The Old Auction Rooms (Arredare) on Gray’s Hill, just by the Bangor seafront.

The Open House Festival Organisers have said:

Our pop-up kitchen at the Old Auction Rooms on Gray’s Hill is back, and this time the host chefs are Erin and Jo, the duo behind Northern Ireland’s latest gastro sensation, The Edible Flower.

Erin, a Ballymaloe trained chef and Jo, an avid homebrewer, cheese-maker and gardener, use seasonal local produce to re-create fresh, colourful dishes from their travels to Asia, the Middle East and Mexico.

This seven-course tasting menu is inspired by the vibrant smells and flavours of Asian street food eating. You’ll get mouthfuls of deliciousness based on the fare from roadside cafes on the streets of Bangkok, Saigon and Mumbai with the occasional Irish twist. Think lemongrass, chilli, galangal, tamarind, coconut, sesame and lots of fresh herbs. We’re keeping the details secret, but the menu also includes a welcome cocktail and green tea with Edible Flower petit fours.

There’ll be plenty of chat from Erin and Jo, plus live music from local musicians.
