*** BOTH NIGHTS SOLD OUT. SORRY***
Join us at Indie Fude in Comber on Friday 10 or Saturday 11 November for our ‘Taste of Chiang Mai’ Northern Thai Supper Club. For this dinner, we will be exploring the aromatic, spicy and totally delicious cuisine of Northern Thailand. We’ll take you on a journey to the bustling night markets (redolent with the scent of stir-fried street food) and the elegant antique-filled restaurants of the beautiful city of Chiang Mai. This five-course meal will be packed full of Northern Thai flavours (and a few more local ones too), think coconut, lemongrass, chilli, banana, lime leaf, mango, peanuts, coriander, ginger and lime.
A few years ago we spent some time in Chiang Mai taking an intensive Thai cookery course, eating lots and learning about the cuisine of Northern Thailand. Northern Thai food has more in common with the cuisine of Laos and Myanmar (Burma) – its close neighbours – than with the green and yellow curries of Southern Thailand. We’re heading back out to Northern Thailand early in 2018, for another intensive cooking course (this time with renowned cookery writer Naomi Duguid), so expect more Thai flavours and events in the near future. As always, we’ll be matching a few of the courses with a taste of craft beers and chatting about Northern Thai food, beer and brewing.
Indie Fude is an independent food company sourcing locally handmade Irish products. They love supporting local food makers and sharing the lovely products they find with their customers via their online shop, their deli in Comber and at a range of markets across Northern Ireland.
