**This event is now SOLD OUT. Sorry**
We are delighted to have been invited by the curators of Open House Festival Bangor to cook a five-course vegetarian feast in the beautiful surroundings of The Old Auction Rooms (Arredare) on Gray’s Hill, just by the Bangor seafront.
The Open House Festival Organisers have said:
Our pop-up kitchen at the Old Auction Rooms on Gray’s Hill is back, and this time the host chefs are Erin and Jo, the duo behind Northern Ireland’s latest gastro sensation, The Edible Flower.
Erin, a Ballymaloe trained chef and Jo, an avid homebrewer, cheese-maker and gardener, use seasonal local produce to re-create fresh, colourful dishes from their travels to Asia, the Middle East and Mexico.
Inspired by Middle Eastern chefs such as Yotam Ottolenghi, this divine five-course vegetarian menu is packed with Persian flavours and ingredients. Think cumin, tamarind, feta, pistachios, orange, pomegranate, dates and tahini. We’re keeping the details secret, but the menu also includes a welcome cocktail, canapes and mint tea with cumin and lemon biscuits.
There’ll be plenty of chat from Erin and Jo, plus live music from local musicians.
This is true vegetarian heaven, but carnivores are allowed!
The drinks: This event is BYO. Please bring a bottle (or more) of your favourite tipple. A welcome cocktail will be provided.
The time: 7.30pm, Friday 18 August 2017

The cost: £40 per person for a five-course tasting menu plus a few extras. Click here to book.
