Back by popular demand – join us at Indie Fude in Comber for a fabulous seven course Asian Street Food Feast on Friday 25 November or Saturday 26 November. The menu is inspired by the vibrant street food flavours of Asia and some of the gorgeous artisanal Irish products that Johnny sells at Indie Fude. Expect some delicious, fragrant, oriental flavours,  some surprising combinations and a little cooking demo as well. We’ll be matching a few of the courses with a taste of  craft beers and chatting about Asian street food, beer and brewing.

Indie Fude is an independent food company sourcing locally handmade Irish products. They love supporting local food makers and sharing the lovely products they find with their customers via their online shop, their deli in Comber and at a range of markets across Northern Ireland.

The menu: An Asian Street Food Feast inspired by the snacks and roadside cafes on the streets of Bangkok, Saigon, Vientiane, Kunming & Phnom Penh. Think lemongrass, chilli, galangal, coconut, lots of fresh herbs and a few fabulous artisanal Irish products from Indie Fude.

Thai Sweetcorn Fritters with Sweet Chilli, Yoghurt and Coriander


Vietnamese Summer Rolls with Walter Ewing’s Smoked Salmon OR Roasted Pepper, Wasabi & Pickled Cucumber


Tom Yum Goong  – Spicy Thai Seafood Broth with Prawns (or Mushroom), Tomato &  Lemongrass

And a short tom yum making cooking demonstration


Black Dexter Beef or Spiced Squash Vietnamese Salad with Chilli, Lemongrass & Mint, Vermicelli Noodles & Crispy Kale


Banh Mi – Vietnamese Street Food Sandwich with Spicy Fishcakes OR Spiced Bean & Seaweed Patties, Cider Vinegar, Pickled Carrots & Mooli, Herbs, Baguette & Crispy Shallots


Sichuan Fish Fragrant Aubergine & Steamed Jasmine Rice

Pineapple Shake with Mint Sugar & Tapioca Pearls

The drinks: This event is BYO. Please bring a bottle (or more) of your favourite tipple. A welcome cocktail will be provided plus a small taste of craft beer matched with a few of the courses.
The time: 7pm, Friday 25th November or Saturday 26 November 2016
The place: Indie Fude, The Courtyard, 5a High Street, Comber, BT23 5HJ
The cost: £32 per person, for a seven course tasting menu plus a few extras. Book via Indie Fude’s eventbrite page.
Dietary Requirements: Veggie options are available for all courses (see menu above) but please let us know in advance if you require the veggie option. For all other dietary requirements just let us know when you book and we’ll try our absolute best to accommodate you.
