Bluegrass Camp Ireland, 28-30 July 2017

We’re super excited to announce that we’ll be back at Bluegrass Camp Ireland this year, cooking up a storm for some world class (and beginner) Bluegrass musicians.

Bluegrass Camp Ireland is Ireland’s only Bluegrass Picking Residential School. The event was launched by Simon Humphries in 2016, to bring together Bluegrass musicians from Ireland, the UK and the USA. Simon believes delicious food is essential to the success of the event, bringing all the teachers and students together and keeping everyone fuelled for some very late night jamming sessions. In 2016 we collaborated with Simon (it was The Edible Flower’s first ever event!) to create some fresh, delicious, surprising and sustaining dishes. And we got some lovely feedback:

“If you’re looking for interesting, ballsy, delicious, visually appealing food to add serious value to your event, check out ‘The Edible Flower’. If you just want a run of the mill caterer- don’t waste their time!”

Bluegrass Camp Ireland is running from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 July 2017 at the beautiful Headfort School in Kells, Co.Meath. The Camp offers hours of in depth workshops with world class US, UK and Irish Bluegrass Musicians, unlimited jamming sessions and of course some of our delicious food. For tickets and more information about the event check out the Bluegrass Camp Ireland website.

We’ll be creating simple, delicious, tasty food using excellent seasonal Irish produce, but with a bit of an ‘Edible Flower’ twist. Guests can expect some traditional Irish dishes (Soda Bread, Local Cheese, Sausage and Black Pudding farls with Homemade Ketchup) alongside some dishes inspired by our travels (Duck, Orange & Fennel Salad, Beef Brisket Chilli Con Carne & Blueberry & Corn Salad ).
