We are really excited to announce the second event in our Future of Food Supper Club series. And this time, it’s all about the packaging – or lack of packaging to be more precise. Since Jo studied Environmental Engineering at uni and the had the pleasure of designing landfills and the delight of visiting a few, she’s been very conscious of what goes into the bin.
Now, “single-use” plastic is having its moment. The vast quantities that are produced, used and discarded everyday has been highlighted in the press and particular by the BBC’s Blue Planet 2. We like a challenge. Cooking delicious food for large groups of people in quirky venues with limited kitchen facilities is not enough. This time we’re doing it plastic free!
Join us for an evening of delicious, fresh, colourful and vibrant food all sourced, cooked and served using as little “single-use” plastic as possible. The aim is no single-use plastic but this is the first time we’ve attempted this so we aren’t sure what’s possible. Any single-use plastic we use will be on display for all to see. Food packaging is something we spend a lot of time discussing and now we want to share our obsession with you!
