Supper Clubs are back! We enjoyed our Summer Solstice Supper Club in June so much that we couldn’t wait to get another date in the diary to feed more of you lovely people some of our favourite dishes.
For this event we’ll be taking you on a culinary adventure around South and East Asia revisiting some of our favourite ever recipes, drawing on the brilliance of cooks like Fuschia Dunlop & Mimi Aye, as well as showcasing many of our own creations and the recipes we were lucky enough to learn on our travels. As always we will be featuring lots of beautiful produce from our kitchen garden.
We’re hoping to conjure up bustling street food stands in Asia where, jostled by passer-bys and other punters, and perched on diminutive plastic stools, you slurp the most deliciously slippery dumplings you ever eaten or crunch into crisply, refreshing summer rolls. Or imagine being seated in a tropical garden in Laos, cicadas singing and the smell of sticky BBQed chicken and sticky rice tickling your nostrils, the anticipation of the feast to come.
Think lime & coconut, raspberries & ginger, smokey chicken & aubergine, crisp lettuce & salty mushrooms, sticky rice and slippery dumplings. It’s going to be a feast for all the senses.
We’ll finish the evening outside (weather permitting) gathered around our fire pit, for a nod to Lughnasadh and the beginning of the harvest season with a lemon verbena tea and floral chocolate mendiants.
Please note: In line with government guidance, attendees will be seated at tables with no more than six guests per table. If you are not attending in a group of six people, it is likely you will be sat at a table with other groups. If you are not comfortable sitting with other people then please do not book tickets as unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to seat all groups separately. All guests will be asked to adhere to social distancing and mask-wearing guidance as appropriate, more details below.
