It’s almost December again and our annual Winter Solstice Feast is back; this will be our 4th time hosting this lovely event, one of our favourites of the year. Embrace the shortest day and longest night of the year and join us for a festive evening of midwinter feasting. It’s the perfect way to unwind before the madness of Christmas Day. There will be warming drinks & snacks around our outdoor fire pit (weather permitting), so come wrapped up warm.
For this year’s menu we are most definitely avoiding the traditional turkey and ham dinners ubiquitous during the festive season (lovely as they are) and instead will be travelling to the sunshine and spices of South East Asia and South West China. Expect Sichuan pepper and tamarind, crispy fritters and steamed dumplings, fragrant curries and fluffy rice, spiced pineapple and black sesame; it’s going to be an antidote to the dark nights and totally delicious!

The drinks: This event is BYO. Please bring a bottle (or more) of your favourite tipple. A welcome drink will be provided plus a small taste of craft beer matched with a few of the courses.
The time: 7pm, Thursday 19, Friday 20 or Saturday 21 December 2019
The place: The Edible Flower, 121 Middle Road, Saintfield, Co. Down, BT24 7LS.
The cost: £45 per person (plus a £1.50 booking fee), for a five-course menu plus a few extras.
Dietary requirements: Veggie options are available for all courses (see menu above) but please let us know in advance if you require the veggie option. For all other dietary requirements just let us know when you book and we’ll try our absolute best to accommodate you.
