Edible Flower Cake & Biscuit Decorating - 2nd & 3rd March 2023

  • The Edible Flower (map)

Spend an evening with us here at The Edible Flower small-holding learning all there is to know about pressing and decorating with edible flowers.

Drink fizz. Watch Erin decorate one of these beautiful pressed-flower cakes, and learn everything you might want to know about it!

Eat the Cake! Drink Tea.

You will even have a go yourself at making some gorgeous pressed-flower biscuits to take home with you.

We love edible flowers in everything from salads and pasta to cordials and cocktails. We grow all our own here on our small, organic farm. They are particularly gorgeous when used to decorate really special celebration cakes and biscuits! A way to inexpensively make really beautiful cake and also connect your baking to the seasons outside.

This is the perfect class if you are keen home baker who wants to elevate your cakes to the next level, a keen gardener who want to know how to preserve and use the edible flowers you grow in baking or if you are thinking of making a celebration for a special event this year - a wedding or a big birthday perhaps.

In this lovely evening class you’ll learn how to prepare, store and use pressed edible flowers. I will show you how to decorate a cake using buttercream and pressed edible flowers - I’ll show you a couple of different styles and a couple of different cake flavours.

Then you’ll get a chance to put what you’ve learned to the test by decorating your own edible flower biscuits to take home. We’ll finish the evening with a slice of cake or two and a cup of tea.

Afterwards we will email you a handout with the information on pressing flowers and the recipes for the cakes and biscuits we’ve used.
