To celebrate the beginning of harvest season and the Celtic festival of Lughnasadh we will be showcasing the best of the season and the garden with a completely plant based (and therefore vegan friendly) menu. We think eating plants, especially at this time of year, can be completely joyful and we want to share that joy with you!
We’ll kick off the evening with cocktails in the garden, served with baby baked potatoes and fresh summer rolls. Then we will take a quick world tour starting with some Mexican inspired tacos using Hearty Growers oyster mushrooms. Next a Spanish gazpacho with punchy nasturtium oil. The main is Middle Eastern inspired sharing dishes with tons of zingy flavours and warming spices. We’ll be rounding off the evening with a refreshing sorbet, our favourite summer berry pudding and a taste of Jo’s delicious Porter beer. Finally we’ll toast the beginning of harvest season around the fire pit with a lemon verbena tea and petit fours.
