The Harvest Supper Club: A Celebration of ‘The Field Project’

Join us this September for our Harvest Supper Club - as always, we've had a great time putting together this seasonal menu and we're just so excited to see you there for this Autumnal gathering.

It's peak produce time - the late summer crops like tomatoes, courgettes, cucumbers and green beans will still be going strong alongside early Autumn crops of root vegetables and a proliferation of fruits in the hedgerows. We'll be celebrating with house-brewed bia hoi (fresh beer), pretzels, crispy courgette and green bean pakoras, chocolate and blackberry tart with coffee ice cream and so many other delicious dishes using all the best produce from our farm and our small-scale farming friends - Four Leaf Farm and Picked.

Because, this supper club will also be a celebration of 'The Field Project', a growing project we collaborated on this year with Picked and Four Leaf Farm to share land, skills and crops with small-scale growers with similar aspirations and values. Spring and summer is always such an incredibly busy time for us growers, so it's amazing to take a moment to toast the harvest and to acknowledge the farmers and the producers. Jo might even sing a wee song in celebration!

The Harvest Supper Club – September 2022 

On arrival:
Bia Hoi (“fresh beer”) or Autumnal mulled apple juice
Pretzels with honey mustard dip
Mac & cheese croquettes with pickled chilli  

To start:
Courgette & green bean pakoras with cucumber raita, edible flower salad, pomegranate & pickled chillies 

To continue:
Roasted tomato risotto with crispy kale & Kell’s Bay cheese

The main event:
Aubergine & lentil moussaka
Slow roasted pork belly with lemon & fennel seeds
Tomato, pink onion & blackberry salad
Roasted turnip & grape salad with freekeh, Cashel Blue & dahlia petals
Homemade rosemary focaccia

To refresh:
Apple & sweet geranium sorbet 

To finish:
Chocolate & blackberry tart with coffee ice cream & almond brittle

Round the fire pit:
Rosemary tea
Irish oatcakes with Hegarty’s cheddar

The drinks: This event is BYO. Please bring a bottle (or more) of your favourite tipple. A welcome drink of our homebrewed beer will be provided.
The time: 7pm, Thursday 15th, Friday 16th, Saturday 17th, Friday 23rd & Saturday 24th September 2022
The place: The Edible Flower, 121 Middle Road, Saintfield, Co. Down, BT24 7LS
The cost: £66 per person (includes VAT & booking fees), for a five-course menu plus a few extras.
Keeping warm: This event will be held in our new dining space - The Gallery. Nevertheless, it can get chilly in the evenings so please do wrap up warm and bring an extra layer or two to keep you cosy.
Keeping safe:  You may be seated with other guests. If you are not comfortable sitting with other people then please do not book tickets as unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to seat groups separately. We’d also please ask guests to take all reasonable precautions to stay safe and keep others safe too.
Dietary Requirements: This menu is suitable for vegetarians. We can cater for Gluten free guests for this event, but please let us know in advance if you require gluten free alternatives. Unfortunately this menu cannot be made suitable for those following a vegan or dairy free diet. Please look out for future events as we often run vegan-friendly supper clubs. For all other dietary requirements just let us know when you book and we’ll try our absolute best to accommodate you.
