It’s time for The Edible Flower’s annual celebration of the Summer Solstice. Join us at our farmhouse in Saintfield to celebrate the everything that is glorious about the midsummer with a supper club menu full of delicious seasonal ingredients.

This year’s menu will take us from the hedgerows of Saintfield to Italy, via Vietnam and back again.  Think elderflower and honeysuckle, roast pork, fennel seeds, lemon and Mediterranean herbs, and spicy chilli, lime, mint and coriander.

We’ll finish the evening, gathered around our fire pit with a spiced chai tea, and crumbly homemade shortbread, celebrating the longest days of the year in style.

Friday 28 and Saturday 30 June

On arrival:
Honeysuckle Punch
Flatbreads from our Wood-fired Pizza Oven
topped with Seasonal Vegetables from the Garden


To start:
Vietnamese Vermicelli Noodle Salad with King Prawns or Crispy Tofu,
Spring Rolls, Pickled Radishes & Fresh Herbs


The Main Event:
Porchetta with Garlic & Fennel
Hedgerow Salsa Verde
Melanzane Parmigiana (Aubergine Parmesan Bake)
Lemon & Oregano Roast Potatoes
Mange Tout with Pink Onions & Cucumber
Confit Cherry Tomatoes with Rosemary & Thyme
The Edible Flower Garden Salad
Crusty Sourdough

To refresh:
Elderflower Sorbet with Candied Lemon


To finish:
Summer Pudding with Sweet Geranium Cream

Round the fire pit:
Chai Tea and Shortbread

The drinks: This event is BYO. Please bring a bottle (or more) of your favourite tipple. A welcome drink will be provided plus a small taste of craft beer matched with a few of the courses.
The time: 7pm, Friday 28 or Saturday 29 June 2018
The place: The Edible Flower, Middle Road, Saintfield, Co. Down, BT24 7LS
The cost: £42 per person (plus £1.50 booking fee), for a four-course menu plus a few extras.
The weather: If, like last year, we’re in the middle of a heat wave we’ll all be sitting outside. However, we more likely to be keeping cozy around our wood-fired pizza oven in our Cow Byre. Either way, bring an extra layer just in case the night is a cold one. 
Dietary Requirements:
 Veggie options are available for all courses (see menu above) but please let us know in advance if you require the veggie option. For all other dietary requirements just let us know when you book and we’ll try our absolute best to accommodate you.
